To try and bring people to the site and get involvement going, I am going to be developing some motion background packs . These packs will of course be free, and will contain loopable motion bg's in a DV avi format. To go along with them, I will also include the source from where it was produced with. That mainly will be After Effects CS3, but may instead just use AE 7 just since most people haven't upgraded yet. PLUS, along with all that may very well include a tutorial on how to adjust the premade compositions . Why go into detail on how to make it if it's already set aside for you ?

I'd like to make this a community based web-site where we get people together , to discuss how they do things . Anywhere from budgeting to where they get equipment, to the process of their films.

Effects guru Stan Winston dies of cancer at 62 (AP News)

LOS ANGELES - Hollywood special-effects maestro Stan Winston has died at age 62.

The Oscar-winning visual effects artist died at his home Sunday evening surrounded by family after a seven-year struggle with multiple myeloma, according to a representative from Stan Winston Studio.

Download Links Update

I come across broken links after some abusers on a certain contest had pointed it out . So , since there is a feature for notifying me what links are broken, please let me know. Not all are down but I am linking to the closet homepages containing downloads, so that is probably why some are not up . I'm not hosting anything locally as those programs have routine updates . 37 Free Editing Software - Links in Downloads up now !

I have added download links , under the Downloads section . There you will find over 30+ different downloads for free editing software . There is software out there such as Avisynth, which is a powerful programable video editor , so it's pretty much customizable with a script language so you can make something of your own .

Also compositing software exists for free too , stuff like jahshaka .

So download a few programs and try them out for yourself ! Open source rocks !
